We plant. We water. We watch GOD grow.

Updated: Mar 9, 2021

1 Corinthians 3:7-9 CSB

"So then neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but only God who gives the growth… For we are God’s coworkers. You are God’s field, God’s building."

Christians are agents; God’s helper in His delivery system. Our calling is important but our work is graced by God, only capable because of the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. We’re sinners who are forgiven, mandated to spread His name where it isn’t spoken.

The broken are the harvest; those religion has cast out and declared forgotten. The lowly and searching are God’s ambition, those promised a kingdom. That’s why we have to show love, in the face of darkness, and especially in an environment of judgment. Condemnation is not of God; and it’s not of our savior. We have no business perpetuating it, both internally and externally.

We have a grace to forgive ourselves. And we also have an assignment to forgive others. So embrace planting and watering seeds where seasons have left the ground cracked and dry. Trust in being a planter and believe when you water a seed you’re feeding your spirit too. Remember who God’s real bride is: The body of Christ.

Absolutely! He’s looking for the lost and hurting!

This is so powerful! Knowing that God is working through us, not to reach the saints or “perfect” people- but to reach those in the lowest of places!!
