Sin Does Not Define You

At times I find myself ashamed of my past. I tried to hide my sins from God as if He would not love me if He knew what I had done. Hiding mistakes from the creator of the universe is impossible. He created us knowing we would sin, and yet He still loves us.
“Long before he laid down earth’s foundations, he had us in mind, had settled on us as the focus of his love, to be made whole and holy by his love.” Ephesians 1:4 MSG
So even if we have made mistakes, He wants us to know WE are not a mistake. We live in a generation of doubt, always wondering "Did God really say?" We limit Him by letting voices and thoughts get in our heads, refusing to listen to the one voice that really matters. The voice that knows you, created you, and most importantly loves you. We limit Him in our shame, but He is here to tell us,
“Fear not, for you will not be ashamed; be not confounded, for you will not be disgraced; for you will forget the shame of your youth, and the reproach of your widowhood you will remember no more." Isaiah 54:4 ESV
