New Year, New Reach

"Seek the Lord, and his strength: seek his face evermore." Psalm 105:4 KJV

After a New Year, we often set our sights on becoming an unrealistic, evolved version of ourself. We’re interested in a new us, not the same old dusty person from before.

However, we strive for this goal with the same habits, same lifestyles, and same spiritual maturity as before. We don’t seek to know God more, we just hope to walk through the doors He’ll open.

But a new us requires a new reach. It calls for us to abandon our want for perfection, and instead get to know our Savior. To stop trying to be a mold of our own desire, and, instead, seek His face to understand His will.

So this year, let the mistakes of all your past, not just for 2019, remain where they are: nailed to your Savior's cross. And then meet Christ at His throne. I promise He's worth getting to know.
