If you are anything like me, getting your child to eat vegetables is a daunting task. Emrie acts as if veggies repulse her and the only fruit she will eat is strawberries. In all honesty, it has been something that I've been convicted about lately. When I sit back and realize the last time my child has had a vegetable was 3 months ago, I know I have to change something.
It is not going to be easy, the best things never are. Nevertheless, I want to give Emrie the best chance at over all wellness: mind, body and soul and a huge part of that is teaching her to develop a healthy relationship with food. With this in mind, I have to correct my own relationship with food. Children often reflect what they see and I have not been the best mirror when it comes to eating habits. I often eat for pleasure, not for nutrition, and I am seeing Emrie begin to do the same. BUT, I am deciding that the cycle ends here and I want to challenge you to join me. Achieving a goal is often easier when accountability is present, so let's hold one another accountable.
Here is some homework:
Go watch "Magic Pill" on Netflix! It is very eye-opening.
Go follow @kids.eat.in.color on Instagram, the information Jennifer Anderson post is invaluable!
We got this, I am believing we are going to have vegetable loving children!
Much Love,
Tori
